I’m not much of a programmer and do not have a particularly strong technical, computer science background. But I love to learn and I have a creative DIY-first personality. As such, AI tools have become a remarkable paradox for me.
On the one hand, AI is swallowing, digesting and regurgitating some strange version of the career in which I have specialized for the past 6 years, writing. AI has but up a huge barrier to landing copywriting jobs and moving around marketing teams as a mid to senior level copywriter. That’s just how it is.
On the other hand, it has granted me access to a whole world of creative ability on a computer that I may never have set foot in. To do so would have required years of study and practice. But with AI, I’m over here turning ideas into tools and programs at my whim. And it’s fun as hell.
I started paying for Claude Pro at the beginning of October 2025. Below is a list of most of the projects I’ve been working on alone with the help of agentic AI.
A minimalist, browser-based word processor designed for distraction free writing with simple file saving in local storage. Featuring my original photography as immersive backgrounds. It was inspired by writing on my typewriters (I have two). I wanted a better digital space for pure writing. Try it out, it’s very free.
No link, early dev.
I pay for Claude Pro, and I’ve been refining a set Claude Skills and prompts to help me generate better copy. Essentially, I am customizing Claude to utilize example docs (brand frames and asset examples) to write better output with minimal prompting each time. Just one simple prompt to call on baked in training materials.
Critically, the customization has an emphasis on the AI being an idea stimulator and not just a ghostwriter. Copywriting with AI is about iterating back and forth with that human touch shining through on the final draft.
I could pay $30/month for copy.ai’s product, but I’m already paying $20/month for Claude Pro. My aspiration is to package this work I’ve done into a simple web app UI and give it away to other copywriters. All they would need to do is pay for their own AI subscription, and add their own API key.
A simple browser extension that scrapes a LinkedIn profile for Name, Role, Company, and URL and adds it to a new line in my Notion database used for tracking potential connections and leads.
I’m looking to get into Sales with no experience. Setting up a sales funnel with me as the product is how I’m going about it. This requires a lot of prospecting for leads and connections on LinkedIn and mapping that network for easy recall and sorting.
